Contract Portfolio Manager (12 months maternity cover)

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join the management team with our client, leading their team of project management professionals in the delivery of our portfolio of projects. The Portfolio Manager is the first point of contact for the overall project portfolio. They provide partnership services to the senior management team and teams of people engaged in the delivery of projects, to ensure common understanding of portfolio parameters and expectations.

There may be occasional requirement for travel to Ireland and the UK.

This is a contract role to cover a 12 month maternity leave, in which applicants looking for full or reduced hours are equally welcome.

• Strong written, aural and verbal communication 
• Ability to work with colleagues in both technical I.S. and business focused roles
• Comfortable to work with colleagues across all levels of seniority
• Ability to maintain calm under pressure and persevere during set-backs
• Effective negotiation skills as required to engage with peers and team colleagues to ensure provision of excellent service and to deliver on promises
• Competent user of MS Office suite of products

Professional Qualifications
• An APMG, or OGC project professional accreditation is desirable, such as p3o (Portfolio Programme or Project Offices) or MoP (Management of Portfolios) for example.
